About this role
Car Mechanic (Automobile Technician) for an auto service centre in Muscat, Oman (8 positions).
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and steering faults
- Carry out scheduled servicing such as oil changes, filters and inspections
- Use diagnostic scanners to find electrical and electronic faults
- Test-drive vehicles and check that repairs are complete
- Record work done on job cards and keep the workshop clean and safe
Requirements:
- Must have worked at an authorised car dealer or dealer workshop
- ITI Automobile or B.Tech / B.E. Mechanical; a Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is also preferred
- Formal qualification is not mandatory if you have strong practical experience
- 4 to 10 years of experience
- Age 25 to 35
Working hours and contract:
- 10.5 hours a day
- One day off a week
- Overtime available
- 2-year contract
Pay notes:
- Performance incentives through a points system, with a chance of salary increase and promotion
