About this role
Auto Mechanic (Automobile Technician) for an auto service centre in Muscat, Oman (4 positions).
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical faults using diagnostic tools
- Carry out periodic servicing - oil, filters, brakes and fluid checks
- Repair or replace worn and faulty parts
- Road-test vehicles after repair to confirm the fault is fixed
- Update job cards and explain the work done
- Keep the workshop and tools clean and safe
Requirements:
- ITI Automobile, ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical, or B.Tech/BE Mechanical - preferred, but not mandatory for candidates with strong practical experience
- 3 to 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in the Gulf
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Age 25 to 35
Working hours and contract:
- 10.5 hours a day
- 1 day off a week (Friday)
- Overtime available
- 2-year contract
