Job summary
Create and modify technical drawings and designs in AutoCAD for construction and engineering projects, working accurately from specifications and coordinating with clients, consultants and project teams to industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts and schematics in AutoCAD from engineers' and architects' specifications; 2D and 3D drafts as per project scope.
- Revise drawings to meet client and project requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and project managers; attend design review meetings and incorporate feedback.
- Keep organised records of all drawings, documents and revisions; prepare drawings and technical documents for submission and approval.
- Keep design work to project timelines and quality standards; verify design calculations.
Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
Experience: proven experience as an AutoCAD Draughtsman, preferably in the construction industry.
Skills: AutoCAD and other drafting software (Revit, Sketch Up); attention to detail and precision; communication and teamwork; independent work to deadlines; industry standards, regulations and building codes.
